Combatting Food Deserts
Here at Grow4Change, we believe in helping our communities. Our mission has always been to help those in need. Many do not have access to basic necessities that are needed therefore, our team has come up with this site to help combat hunger and help those who really need it!
Grow4Change is a totally free Non-profit organization. We are soley here for the greater good of our communities.
Though we recently started, we have a long history of helping those who are in need!
Though we are a Non-Profit Organization, we greatly apprectiate contributions to our team.
An area where access to affordable nutritious food is limited or even nonexistant. There are no grocery stores within a reasonable distance.
All over the United States especially in low income areas in both rural and urban communities. There are 23 million Americans living in food deserts.
Through community organizing we can find solutions
A garden cultivated by a group of people for the benefit of the whole community
Markets are flexible and relatively easy to set up since they don't require a permanent structure. They improve social ties and create a connection between rural and urban communities. Farmers benefit from selling directly instead of through a middleman. The community benefits from local access to fresh seasonal food.
